The branch of chemistry that deals with the study of the physical phenomenon of chemical compounds. For example motion, energy, force, time, thermodynamics, quantum chemistry, and chemical equilibrium etc. It is dealing with the relations between the physical properties of substances and their chemical composition and transformations.
The various branches of physical chemistry are
Thermodynamics: The branch of physical chemistry that deals with heat and temperature and their relation to energy and work. There are two types of reaction in chemistry.
Endothermic:- It is absorbing heat.
Exothermic:- It is evolving heat.
Chemical kinetics: That deals with the rate of chemical reactions.
Electrochemistry: Electrochemistry is the study of chemical processes that cause electrons to move from one element to element. It is electricity.
Surface chemistry: Surface science is the study of physical and chemical phenomena that occur at the interface of two phases, eg. solid-liquid interfaces, solid–gas interfaces, and liquid–gas interfaces.
Spectroscopy: It is the study of the interaction between matter and electromagnetic radiation
